The Scream rip off was one of our very early productions. And came about in a free period at collage. Charles had just bought a scream mask, and we had the video cameras from the media department. The idea came about of doing the short film and so we looked around for a few props and got some mates in to be extras then spent the next two free lessons creating an amusing scream come die hard with a vengeance 5 min film. 

Staring:

Outline:
We open on a caretaker cleaning the stage when a light comes on from off stage he goes to investigate and we see a masked black figure creep around, The caretaker is then pulled behind a stage flat and killed the killer emerges and comes close to cam and says “ what’s your favourite scary movie?” cut to the next day and news speeds across the school of the caretakers murder we see a school boy get told by his mate then he passes the school payphone, it rings so he answers it and listens the killer is on the other line, he threatens the kid and tell him to be at the phone box at the end of the road in 2 min if he values his life. The kid runs to the phone box and enters as it is ringing. He listens to the killer again and is given a cryptic clue to follow if he wants to know what happened to the caretaker, he figures it out and as it says heads to the stage the next night he enters an empty room looks around, it is deserted but then the killer drops from a ledge in front of the kid and pulls a gun on him. He threatens him and it turns out that he is in fact his younger brother who he tormented in his youth. The kid knocks the killers gun away and flees a chance follow but the kid trips and falls the killer pounces on him, but has no weapon. (At this point we thought we would spoof the ending) The kid pulls the killers gun from his own waist and turns the tables on the killer the killer pleads with him and says “you wouldn’t kill your own brother” we see a still of the kids face as a gunshot rings out!
