The McDonalds our town story is a production put on by major cities around the country each one is shown at the Millennium Dome in Greenwich. We were asked to be on the video production team, which produces a video to be projected on the backdrop of the stage and around the dome, all about Peterborough. For this project we worked with the Lady lodge arts center media department, using their super VHS cameras and extremely expensive editing equipment it was our first commissioned piece.
Staring: mostly ducks, cameras by Charles Reynolds and James Abbott
Out line: we were first asked to list place in Peterborough that were special too us, at the top of the list was The local Pubs and Clubs, but apparently that wasn’t the side of Peterborough there were trying to portray (I cant imagine why) so we settled for filming in ferry meadows a local country park. We filed about three min of material that we edited to a very good two min. This was added to some other people’s work that filmed in different locations and a short background film was made. We weren’t paid as it was a voluntary trip but we did get free McDonalds and a trip to the Millennium Dome, not bad really.
